| On our network, we have experienced a problem with our EFCON controller that communicates with the Channel Interface Processor (CIP). This portion of network communication is critical for member firms access to the CME mainframe. CME engineers and tech support staff are in the process of migrating firms over to our back-up controllers. Not all firms were affected. This did not impact any process via IP such as 3270 Telnet and MQM IP. This does impact access for the process that still uses SNA such as 3270 emulation, MQM APPN, RJE, C21 Client Manager, Internet access to Document Direct, C21 and 3270,and the trading floor BTS system. The Clearing House C21 access is also affected and they should be up very soon. If you have not previously contacted us in regard to problems with your access, please call Client Management for assistance. Karen F.
